request Foot pedal enhancement on the new os2

Post by mercergate »

If I could have a request for something in the new OS it would be for foot pedals that could work like the two on the venerable Alesis SR 16. One pedal works as a tempo setter, (just tap the tempo you want, hands still on the keyboard), when it's not running, and as a variation advancer when it is.
The other pedal starts and stops the machine. Simple and elegant. I need three pedals to do that on the PA 2X. And this from a drum machine well over ten years old!

You can do that - and much more - with the EC5 pedal :) Personally, I dislike multifunction controls, i.e. which act differently in different modes (Alzheimer's fault? )

O yess, the SR16 from Alesis. Brings good memories, I used to program drumgrooves and synced it with an roland RA-50 8) and I used the pedals for fills.

I think I've never sold that RA-50 and is still laying around here somewhere :D

I have also a new request for Korg for future OS.

When I unplug my keyboard cable from the electric circuit, the keyboard does not function properly. The screen goes off. The keys can be touched, but you cannot hear any sounds. Strange right ?

I would like my Korg to work even when it is not plugged in.

However, I was not able to find the battery locator. Does anybody know how many batteries are needed ?

And does anybody know if these batteries will be delivered in the new OS 2.0 ?

Thanks !

:)

Evidently, this was a design feature so it would be compatible with Virtual Instrument Plugins running on your PC also with the power disconnected.
