Come on now, you didn't expect the piano sounds on an 1800.00 workstation
to sound like world class pianos, did ya?

Well, actually, you see musicians using Tritons in videos, all the time.
I don't think audiences say "that piano sounded horrible".
It's all in the tweaking and programming, that will improve the sounds.
To some, even that's not enough.
As Shrike eluded to, try piano samples......
Or just sell the damn thing and buy yourself a piano.
So to come close to those world class sounds, you'll probably have to use
samples. :)

Listen to the keyboard in stereo as opposed to mono ;)

Definitely use stereo. Also, remove a lot of reverb. It's usually on Knob 4. To my ear, that helps a lot.

Hi gorkymate, you could try downloading a piano sample. I have one i found on the web but dont remember the site. Its great. I use to hate the EX pianos and i now i love them. The best thing is that you can put the sample on every piano program on the EX and it will give you a unique different piano sound and they sound awesome....incredible!

I will be more than happy to send it to you via email or if someone tells me how to put link to download right here in the forums....
God is with me....i shall not fear.

few months ago I could get new, high-quality handmade Calisia piano for the price of new TEX88

IMO: Triton extreme has very useful pianos,
that sit very well in the mix and sound good solo.

I agree with Vadim. I've used several of the pianos, some tweaked, some as-is, and they sound great in my sequences, and when I play them solo. They may not be the highest quality pianos ever put on a synth, but they're far from the worst.
