Hi Worth,

I have been using a PA1X for about 3 years.Recently, the keyboard froze up while playing a gig. I rebooted, and after about 4 minutes it came back to life as if nothing was wrong. Since I live in an area with no immediate accessibility to major music stores or repair shops I decided I had better get a backup keyboard, Was going to purchase another PA1X, but opted to put forth more money for a PA2X.
So far, I've had no problems with the 2X, but after reading the sad tales of woe on the recent OS2 upgrade, I'll not be getting rid of the good old reliable PA1X in the near future.

BTW, I purchased the DVDs the wer involved with, and they are SUPER. Should almost be required for anyone looking into the PA series of arrangers.

Great job....Thanks,

Papa Pete
THIS IS NOT A DRESS REHEARSAL!!!
Had in the past: PA50, PA1X, PA2X. Currently PA3X, PA4X

I'm very happy to hang on to the Pa1xpro. In my view the changes from the 1x to the 2x weren't substantial enough anyway and given all the bugs and hardware problems this has reinforced my view.
I feel very sorry for the owners of the 2x - they deserve much better than this. If Korg can't fix their problems soon then I think they will really loose out in this market in future. This has got to be pretty damaging to Korg.

I´ve some points because i want to change

- faster booting
- usb to device
- adjustable display
- more memory
- polyphonie
- pitchable MP3

That´s why i want to sell my PA1XPRO with XMS1 and XMS2 from Xprodata. If you´re interested in this key please contact me.

hi all,

I have my 1xpro now for like 4 month and i am very happy with it. Only the ram is not eneugh. But it can go on... I have seen the pa2x and the problems that comes with it, i don´t need a key with all those problems. And beside, the pa2x is very expensive. I think upgrading to pa2x is not needed, but if you got a lot money and don't know what to do with it, then upgrade to 2x.

Hi worth,

i was NOT speaking about musically - look at my points  - it only handling and technical things.

On the musically side PA1X with my XMS1 and XMS2 is absolutely state of the art.

so its for technical reasons only that you have decided to change up to the PA2X ?

Are all your custom sounds and setups easily transferable from the 1X to the 2X ?

Just economics is stopping me from upgrading (side-grading? lol) to ANY keyboard right now.

I only bought my PA1-x (Elite) barely 1 year ago, so it would be ridiculous to get rid of it now...(IMO)

My only gripe with the PA1 is how slow it can be responding to touch screen commands (and the Hard Drive could be faster) I assume the '2 is much faster.
Just pretend I've written something funny, yet wise and ironic here...

hellboy,
I thought the screen was unresponsive too - till I saw the excellent tip on the Pa1x DVD - if you touch the screen with the back of your fingernail (palm up) it responds really well.

Many things bro, just one example:
DNC combined with MASTER EQ, TRACK EQ and new ROM and Synthezis
you wont even get close to PA2X, i dont think it needs more explanation.
And i think that IS Musically.
Oh, forgot Guitar Mode, i would never be able to do this on PA1X:
