Trying to copy a user style to empty factory style location

Post by ROBOKEYS »

Hello ALL!
Last night I tried to save the 60,s rock userstyle from the tehnics folder and copy it to an empty spot that I have in my factory styles under rock so I have all my rock styles together.I keep getting a copy failed when I try to do this.
I was able to save it in one of the 9 user banks though. Can anyone tell me how to do this? By the way I ordered a new pa2xpro that will arrive in a couple of days despite some of the problems people have been having
with the led,s and freezing problem because I,m confident that korg will
sort any problems out and stand behind their product. Any help will be
appreciated. Thanks Mike

Remove the copy protection from the factory places.
It´s somewhere under disk - preferences - factory style protect (uncheck the relevant point)

Hi Rob,

what do you wanna save - style or sound?

You talking about both - if you want to save sounds you´ve to unprotect the factory sound too - the other checkbox.

Thank you for trying to help me out. I,m trying to save a user style to
an empty spot in the factory styles. So far the only option that I see is
being able to save it to one of the 9 user banks that you get access to
when you have the 2 led,s lit for the style select right under the 8 sliders.
I was able to save it there. But I do not see an option for saving it to
an empty spot that is available in the factory styles.

OK, here we go again

(i´m now on my key ;-) )

first be sure factory style and pad protect is unchecked
select style you wanna copy
press record button
record/edit current style - ok
checkbox right up - write style
select
select an empty space (you can coose Bank1/8; Bank 9/16; User or Direct HD).
OK - Yes - finished

End with right up - exit from record

Hope it works now ;-)

I follow you right up to the point where you select an empty space.
the only options that I see are user 1,2,3 and bank 1 through 9 on the direct hard drive.
I want to save the user sound in the factory bank 1 through 8 under
the title (rock) where the last three styles are blues shuffle,60,s rock,
rock&roll, and then the first empty spot. That is where I want to save it.
If you look at my first post it tells you the user sound that I want to save and where I want to save it. I,m missing something! :(

The last sentence on my last post I meant to say user style not user sound.

Hi,

please send me your e-mail via PM.
I´ll send you some screenshots.

If you only have user and direct hd you didn´t unprotect the factory styles on my mind.

Hi,

there are no informations about this product at the moment on our pages.
It´s based on XMS1+2+4 and an enhancement of this.

Hope we´ll be able to publish some informations soon.
