SCSI problems

I am new to the Korg Triton "classic" and I am having a problem.
When I plugged in a zip drive, the TC would not finish booting up. Instead it stoped at the loading screen(the one that reads the EXBs). I know the Zip drive is a littel old, and unfoutunatly I do not have another SCSI device to test it.
Any help would be great.

Is the ZIP Drive terminated?
Is is a SCSI ZIP Drive or one of the auto sensing ones?

To add to that, a ZIP drive needs to be set to a very specific SCSI ID. 6 or 7 I think.
It’s in the manual.

I've just found this thread through a search and I'm havng this exact same problem. How do I terminate an Iomega Zip 100 or how do I set the ID? ANy help would be most appreciated. Thanks.

If you have the Zip 100 SCSI External drive, there is an On/Off termination switch on the back.

Well thats what puzzles me, because the old drive I was using did have the switch as you describe. BUt thsi replacement which is exactly teh same in other regards doesn't! I've looked everywhere and no switch.

It may be terminated internally - check the manual. And it must be set to a different SCSI ID then the Triton, which I believe is ste to 0 or 1 (7 is the max as the chain can support up to 8 devices: numbered 0 through 7).

Another way to test connectivity is to power on the Triton first. Then connect the SCSI device and go into the Disk management area and search for SCSI devices on the drop down menu.

Still another test is to connect the device to another source for reading and see if that can recognize it, allowing you to determine if it is a SCSI drive issue or a Triton issue.

I got a cable to connect to my triton classic scsi port which takes it from 25 pin to usb male..so then i connected a female to female usb...then put a flash drive in the opposite side of the female usb....it's only 4 gig...when it's all connected the triton freezes during loadup...when i do a search for scsi drives it locks up there as well...any ideas?? I've searched every triton manual/exb scsi manual i can find..no luck!
