Zubair, about an hour ago I followed Rob's link to the Karmalab page titled "Korg M3: Upgrading to Xpanded OS v2." I followed the directions there, also referring to my Korg M3 Operation Guide that came with the workstation, as well as the "M3 Xpanded Upgrade Guide (for web downloaded files)." You can download these 2 pages at the Korg web site.
My download and installation of the upgraded operating system was successful. I just spent the last 45 minutes or so playing the new programs and combis. There's a whole new long list of pianos that's just incredible.
Remember two things: you have to unzip the downloaded files before copying them to your USB external device (I used the Kingston 1 GB USB memory stick that came with the M3), and you have to leave the stick plugged in to your M3 when you boot it. If the M3 can't find the new samples, then some programs and combis won't play.
