Can I get a listen and some feedback?

Post by pwmccredie »

Can I get a listen and some feedback..DONT BE NICE. I know the recording quality is poor...all I'm workin with is a sequencer in my keyboard. No mixer/software/ect. (That's why I'm here...to learn!)

No prefabbed beats or anything though...every note and sound was struck by yours truly.

It has an interesting variety of sounds. But the song is repetitive. I think you should try to change up the drums and melodies once in awhile. I'd also suggest that you should progress the song further with different melodies and beats. And make sure it has a good flowing pattern (ABAC, etc).

Not bad for hitting every note yourself though.

I agree with Pumpkin King on further devolpment. That aside, I think you've got an interesting groove going on here; a good set of contrasting sounds also.

Hello fellow Soundclicker. I like this, nice groove. What are you using for the drums, if I may ask? If you added some kind of spoken word over this music (poetry or even a rap), I think that would work well.

Unfortunately all i have right now is my Korg TR 88, so on that one I laid that one down on the keyboard.

I also have a PAD Kontrol MIDI controller that I cant figure out how to use, but once I do i will be somethin serious im tellin you.

I LOVE "inspiration" on your soundclick page!! Very infectious. It makes me want to jump right in with you.

check the one below and tell me if you feel that. As for the voice, if I had one like yours you would defintely be hearin on the track.

Thanks for the compliments. I used the TR too for the drums on Inspiration. I really wanted to do live drums on that one but no room for a kit at home. It was either a couch or a drum set. If I were single, it'd be a different story..

I like "Ignorance" too. I recognize many of the sounds. I sent you a friend request on Soundclick, by the way.

it's nice, i guess it's an instrumental background for Rap(?) sounds pretty cool although it does have some rhythm quantization issues here and there but generally sounds pretty good

love the low fatty sounds
