nanoKEY and cubase sx3
so i got my nanokey today and it seems to be working great.
using M1 le workstation is working just how it should and im satisfied with this tiny keyboard.
but,
when i try using it with cubase, thats another story
trying to use it with the virtual instruments it wont make any sound.
the program is picking up the device though and it has an orange indication bar thing that reacts when i press any buttons on it.
i have tried several things and i just cant get this to work,
and now im getting frustrated.
has anyone else used the nanos with cubase?
thanks!

What is your MIDI input set to on your track in Cubase? Are you on a Mac or a PC?Jirsty wrote:so i got my nanokey today and it seems to be working great.

That's called Latency, and is a common problem. Check with the Cubase docs and the docs for your audio interface to ensure you have things configured for this lowest achievable latency.
For example make sure Cubase is configured to the ASIO driver for your audio interface.
Google will kick up lots of good stuff on this subject, if you put the words latency, Cubase, audio alongside the name of your audio interface.

If you just have a standard sound card without any ASIO drivers, check out ASIO4ALL; it's a free, generic ASIO driver that will help reduce the latency by quite a bit. If it doesn't help though, getting a proper audio interface is probably the only way to go.
