Good news: Backup & format 16 MB, PA80 locked flash card

Post by Miker »

If your flash card has been locked (software wise). follow these steps: it is very easy and people would charge you $ 80.00 to tell you this. I am doing this for free as part of my contribution to this site.
1- Just trun on your kb. Push your locked flash card in the slot, the same time keep pressing f2 (four bouttons under the display). you will get a message (Are you Sure) say yes press enter. It starts to back up your locked flash card. It does not unlock or format your flash card, but at least you can make a back up of your locked FL.

To format your locked FL follow theses steps:
1-make sure you made a backup of your FL.
2-Download this software Bpa80.sys from thies site to a floppy disk: http://rapidlibrary.com/download_file_i ... BPa80+.Sys
3-trun off your KB and insert the floppy in the floppy drive and trun on your KB. you will get a message asking to Erase or Protect your FL.
4-choose Erase and wait for 20 mintues. your FL hass been erased and visible to the Kb now. (before was dotted line)
3- Shut down your KB. (OK wont work).
4- Now trun on your KB and go to Formt your FL. you are done.
