No OASYS at Musikmesse

Hi Fellas,

today I have from a reliable source that the OASYS at Musikmesse no longer issued and there are no further developments for the OASYS into the future

1.3.3 will be the last OS update ?
I'm very curious why KORG gives us 1.3.3 OS update 18 months after 1.3.1 and 1 month before the MESS .................

yes this are very bad news for all Oasyans

I don`t understand why Korg not showing the flagship

hmmmmmm!

Do we really want to get into this again.

Korg cannot do anything right. They give us an update, then you start more rumours again. Just leave it be. The Oasys will be discontinued when Korg tell us so. Not when some random person says so.

Therefore, I am going to take anything said with a tiny pinch of salt!

It could very well be that a particular distributor or retailer has decided not to stock it anymore -- I think that's how a lot of these rumors get started -- but obviously that's not the same thing as discontinued.

Musikmesse 2009 will be held in Frankfurt from 1 to 4 April.
A little early to count the O out.
But other than Rudess' O there was not another OASYS to be seen the day I went to 2009 NAMM. And yes that was dissapointing, but I still believe and have hope for more good things to come.

I wish threads like this would cease!! It is unfair to this amazing machine to have people spreading false information.

Threads like this keep me, and I'm sure many others, from visiting this forum as much as we would like to. Its a waste of time to come on here and listen to the same discussions over and over again. Give it a rest. I thought forums like this were suppposed to be a place where information is shared for the benefit of a product and not the opposite. Why post if you can't actually contribute something postive to the community?

The Oasys may or may not be at the Musikmesse. We'll find out soon enough, so I don't really understand the need for this thread

Helllo mate.

Well, in fact I also have some info retlated to this as well:

At instance of some OASYS users in my country, the local Official Korg distributor here conctacted a month ago with Korg Inc. In Japan.
The distrubutor got an answer that told these users, and one of them, a friend of mine, send me an email with all the stuff, (thanks Schulze for let me know)

To resume, Korg Inc Japan told the official distrubutor here that “It will be an official anouncement regarding the OASYS in the April MusikMesse” (Sic)

Whatever this statement means, lets see.

So Oasys 76, all this doesnt mean your source information is not true, but , even if we dont see any phisical OASYS this forthcoming Messe, there will be news (good or bad) related to the O, as far as it seems.
