Korg Legacy - Logic Studio
Hi. I recently bought a new intel macbook pro. I have the korg legacy(klc1) that I used on my G4. Now I wanna use it on the new computer. I've downloaded the newest version 1.2.2 driver of legacy. I've bought a syncrosoft dongle and installed the codes on to it. However, Logic doesn't find the plugins. How can this be. I also have the newest version of license control center. BTW. The license control center gives me a weird error, and says I'm running an OS that is too old, even though it's the newest available. Maybe this has an impact. Well I hope somebody knows how to get logic to find the instruments.
Hi Kristian. Been there, done that. Back in a second.
Right, look below for a thread entitled something like, "Upset with unsuccessful install," and you'll see maybe what's stopping you getting up and running. There are a few things you need to do.
First of all, make sure you've got the latest synchrosoft licence thingy software from their website and install it.
Next, get the latest installer from korguser.net. It tells you to use the enclosed uninstaller, then the new installer. And this is where I came across 2 problems. First of all, the uninstaller doesn't uninstall all the components. If you've had anything installed before up to 1.2 (I hope that's right) it installs components in different places. What I did was used the uninstaller and then had to manually go through places like Library>Audio>Plug-ins> on both the HD and user library folders and delete anything to do with KLC.
Then run the installer and just ignore the bit about having to have Panther when you're clearly sitting in from of 10.5.6. This appears to be a bug.
Et voila. I do hope this works for you.
