Alternative use of padKontrol

Post by StudioHaen »

I have a padKontrol and it's working GREAT!
The pads are so smooth I want to use it to greater extent.

Now, could I use it to control other (non-MIDI) software? As a game controller perhaps? Could it type letters in Word? Is the MIDI-output convertible to other output?

I have mine translated via a script in bomes, in which case you can make it output any key stroke or combination that you want....

Thanks! That's exactly what I was looking for.

Well, almost.
Bome's Midi Translator does generate the correct key strokes, but it does only emulate them. The software I want to use it with accepts only Direct Input.

So, the translator gives the correct output, but not in the right technical format.
