Os 2.01 for PA 800

Post by deepak »

I have a PA 800 and I want to install OS 2.01.
I have over written some of the preset styles with my own and I know that if I install the new OS & the Musical resources, my peresets will be over written. Is there a step by step procedure to upgrade the music resources and the OS and yet have my own styles on it.
Please respond.

Just save all you data to a USB or external storage device and then reinstall the musical resources. You don't have to re-install the OS again.

I hear "Save all" saves favourite styles only, does not save the preset styles. Secondly is there a way to find out which entries in the song book will be impacted by moving a style from one position to an other?

Hi Deepak,
When you go to save in Media mode, after selecting save to new set check all the boxes on the display. It will save your all the user data as one .set.

Correct, however my question was about the preset styles- the ones wich come from the factory. I have over written some of those. I suspect those will be lost with the new music resources, what do you think? Secondly, is there a lot new in the new musical resources? Should I even bother with the new musical resources are stay with the same I have from before?

Deepak,
It is essential to load musical resources when you upgrade OS for system to work perfectly. You can tranfer your edited preset style in user bank or favourite bank if you want a back up of it & later you can reload them at the location you want from back up set on your USB.
