Is there a Radias successor coming soon?

Post by paugui »

Hi

I was wondering if there is any rumors about a successor to the Korg Radias.

I am considering buying a Radias but I was wondering if it could be smart to wait a bit cause something better might be coming up, or maybe I could just buy a Radias then for a lower price.

Thanks in advance,
Best regards

Those things usually get announced at the big trade shows, NAMM and Musikmesse. Musikmesse was just a month ago, and there was no announcement of a new Korg VA synth. So there's no reason to believe one is coming soon.

I think most music gear companies are being pretty conservative... I doubt Korg would launch a new flagship product in a big economic recession... They are probably going to release newer MicroKorg XL style cheapie products instead of $2000+ workstations, at least until there is less doubt about the economy.

I wouldn't be shocked if they lowered the price of certain products soon though.
