padKONTROL as Kaoss Pad

Post by TOTAL »

The xy pad in KP3 works in such a way that touching it, apart from sending the coordinates, unmutes the effect chain. And untouching mutes again.

How to achieve that with padKONTROL?

padKONTROL does not seem to have such a parameter in pad - just x and y.

I hope your on a MAC?

If so then your answer is farmpad, as it allows the x/y pad to act as a switch as well as outputting the coordinates of x and y it also outputs that you are touching the pad as a seperate cc...

I use mine for all my x/y effects to have them on when i touch the pad and off when i release, especially good for filters....

Cheers

No, I am on PC.

I have mostly managed with the setup yet.

I am in Ableton Live, x when untouched gets back to 0.

so I have 0 mute the audio before the chain, so nothing gets there unless touched.

in real time all works well.

The last thing is using recorded the xy pad - it can be sent to one effect on a track. this effect must receive midi, like camelspace. But camelspace does not have a possibility to mute/unmute depeding if it gets 0 in x coordinate.

and i can't think of any other, similar effect woth this function.

so part of kaoss is not woking.

having farmpad, I guess you face the some issue?
