Hi Paul,
happy to hear it worked for you.
Sorry, Paul one thing that I did forget to mention, don't try this with an ending that has a chord progression ( ending 1) & uses "Guitar Mode" tracks. The different types of style tracks show up in the "Style Track Control" window. Guitar Mode tracks if I remember correctly show up as Gtr. Usually recognizable because they use the "Real" guitar type sounds.
Guitar Mode tracks use "velocity" on certain notes to create the Chord Changes in Intro 1 & Ending 1.
My memory just got jolted on this after I posted a reply on creating guitar mode tracks to another question.

Hello everybody,
Solving the Problem with the "noisy" / "LOUD" Endings or Intros of even Fills... ...
Korg itself put a very powerful Function in all Styles (and of course in the "EDIT" - Function) ...
and with this you have no problems with the different "CHORD-Variations"
I do this with great success in the following manner:
Select a subjective felt "LOUD" Style
... RECORD / EDIT / MENU / Style Element TRACK CONTROLS /
then on Key press the TOOOO LOOOUUUDDD PART (e.g. INTRO1)
...the Screen reacts in the first line on the right side near the PAGE Menu with the NAMING of the selected Style Part
(no blind flying as in other Menus!)
... THERE YOU HAVE THE CONTROL - KNOBS called "EXPRESSION" -> TURN THESE -20 to the left against the actual value in the "LOUDEST" Tracks
... continue doing this for all the other Style-Parts (END1 / END2 ... may be)
OPEN PAGE MENU / WRITE STYLE / GIVE YOUR NAME / PLACE IT on USER OR FAVOURITE BANK !!
The whole action takes really only a few seconds, when you are familiar with this !
With this you can also "edit away ... (Expression=ZERO)!" e.g. the ACC4 in VAR4,
when you dont want to disable ACC4 in VAR1, VAR2, VAR3 ...
and you dont want to MUTE individual Tracks of Styles during LIVE PERFORMANCEs !
So you can leave the ACC4 ACTIVE, but in VAR4 there is SILENCE from ACC4 without pressing or touching anything !
In Opposite: with enhancing the EXPRESSION you can precisely
"ACTIVATE" an specific Track (DRUM / ACCx ... whatever)
in relation to the other Styleparts ... OR ... Styletracks in the same Stylepart !
Doing this with EXPRESSION seems to be more effective, ergonomic and perfomant rather than editing even all the "Chord Variations" with their specific Velocity !
And you have the Advantage of not "destroying" the Styles Origin, as you do, when you EDIT VELOCITY... think about the next coming up models... Do you want to RE-EDIT the Velocity in all Tracks with all CHORD-VARIATIONS to fit on the next model again ?
-> PLEASE USE ... E X P R E S S I O N !!!
You have to keep in mind, that you are destroying the Styles Character, when RX-Sounds are used
and you change Velocity-Values !
Many of the Sounds with an RX - Suffix use Velocity Switching on a definite Level in their ORIG - Sound-Program !
This LEVEL corresponds directly to the Velocity Values in most of the Styles !!!!
E.G.
Please have a short "Look and Listen" to Style "80's Dance" in Bank DANCE !
Chose Style / TRACK SELECT / and look to ACC2 ... here we have the CLEAN Guitar RX2 in preallocation.
Now press SHIFT together with the track ACC2 on touch Screen (so SOLOing the track) and start the Style with harmony
and HEAR EXACTLY TO THIS: THATS VELOCITY-SWITCHING !!!
For Edit-Experts:
RECORD / EDIT CURRENT STYLE / MENU / EVENT - EDIT / chose ACC2:
Now have a look into Velocity-Row and "tip" thru the events ...
/ DIFFERENT sounds are getting played ... even without PROGRAM CHANGE ... AMAZING isnt it ?!?!
Besides: You'll not find anything like this Easy Way in Comparison with the "Y....." - Keys !
Best wishes from TBLECK

Hi TBLECK,
Thank You !!!
This is really a cool way to edit anything in a style, and being a new Pa800 user, I would have never known about this level of editing. Where and how did you learn this ???? I have been playing around with this for the last 2 hours and it opens up a whole new range of what can be done with this keyboard, amazing You give so many new insights on what can be done
Best Regards
Paul
I see your other post about your website tutorials and those look equally as interesting and I will have a go at those over the weekend and report back
Thank You !!!

Hi Rikki,
Thanks for your follow up. You were the first to give me a possible solution on how to solve my problem and I will always be grateful . I am playing around with TBLECKS post and it is really cool !!!! For me It really opened the door to what I can do if I want to edit a style. I have read through the manual but I did not find a direct approach like you or TBLECK offer that I could figure it out !! I have high regards for both of you and that you would both take the time to share it with someone like me who is just starting out and for others who would benefit from a different perspective !! I hope the group will let you both know your value to this forum !!!
Thank You Both
Best Regards

Hi Paul,
not sure either method is 100% perfect on it's own, but I hadn't realized RX voices are velocity sensative. It's probably safer & easier to go with changing expression rather than velocity.
The styles I changed the endings on, luckily didn't contain RX Voices ,but they did have numerous expression changes within the style tracks . I didn't want the possibility of strange jumps in volume. Also didn't want to go to the trouble of changing heaps of Controller 11 data ( expression) For me it was easier to just change velocity.
Fortunately there is an expression monitor in the style element track control window. When a track contains expression data the monitor flashes red.
I'll probably go back to using expression from now on instead of velocity, except for the odd track that contains multiple controller 11 events.
Trust me to probably pick the only few styles on the whole keyboard that contained fade outs (multiple expression data ) haahaa
Anyway I'm really pleased to find out about the RX voices and their velocity sensativity. I'll know not to use them in any of my style conversions.
Pity Korg don't put out the same technical data sheets that Yamaha does on drum mapping & voices.
Just wait until you realize just what is possible on this keyboard.
It's a truly amazing machine.
It's kept me occupied for the last 18 months or so.
Anyway, if I can be of any help, I'm usually floating around.

Hi TBleck. That was an absolutely excellent explanation of what the Expression function is and how it can be used to edit styles. I think you and rob should get together and devise a quick tips and tricks booklet in plain english that helps individuals like me who struggle with the manual.
Thank you for your very clear explanation.
