New Korg videos online

Post by RichF »

Hi everyone,

I've created some video tutorials for some basic procedures on the M50. They're designed to make new users comfortable with the M50, and maybe some of the more advanced users might learn a trick or two as well.

Here they are:

Creating a Combi- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gAvyjhlfGKw
Effect routing- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yCK5RgoO7TE
Effect shortcuts- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=igiK4mDGDgg
Template songs- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I6023Hs-vVs
Tone adjust- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VmuyF15SdCU
External control- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E_-U2cQ-fsM

This is just the first series of videos, I'll probably be doing tons more, on various products. Please subscribe to KorgUSAVideos to make sure you see them all! Also, feel free to comment on them. I welcome all of your input, especially if you plan to tell me I'm good-looking.

Thanks,
Rich

Nice vids for those that need guidance.

And the only way a "good looking" comment is being typed by me is if an Oasys arrives @ my front door

Hi Rich, thanks a lot for these videos...very helpful. I downloaded them via a Firefox extension called DowloadHelper and to read these .flv files I use a program called VLC media player. Thought it might be helpful for those like me who don't have internet access near their M50.

Congrats for your easy-understand videos. Even your accent is not difficult to understand for a person who has´t english as a native language !!

I've had my M-50 a few days and I have to say (despite what most people here have found) I thik it's a real nightmare to find my way around, and don't get me started on the manual.

So, as someone has said, an in-depth sequencer tut' would be VERY much appreciated. Maybe even a video about making a sound from scratch.

Thanks. :)

Drum Track Patterns

Post by nspirit »

hi... i too just got a m-50 2 weeks ago. i enjoyed your other videos but i'm stuck on making drum patterns (i'm primarily a guitarist) and also... is there a way to edit the drum patterns in the Seq mode... instead of 8 bars normally, make the pattern 4 bars instead? hope i'm being clear on this.

thank you in advance!

Please do a tutorial on setting up Favorites

Post by Mike Manion »

I have a Korg M50 and I am confused on how to set up a "Favorites" section for use in live performances.

I have tried to follow the directions from several sources, but I'm still not crystal clear on how to easily do this without loosing some programs.

Thanks,

MM

I must comply with the last couple of posts. Drum machine patterns and live performace patch switching are the most needed at the moment.

Can you make something for us?

Many thanks Rich, and indeed your videos are great and your explanations to the point, not hesitation, no "eeehhh" like some others I've seen. In short: Pro quality. Once you have enough, box them in a DvD and sell them (Give me one free for the idea, of course  )

Looking forward on more videos pretty soon.

Martin
