EM-1 service manual - bootup problem

Post by faceman »

I've contacted Korg about this repeatedly, but get no response!

I've lost the original power supply of the EM-1 and think I might have damaged the circuitry by trying a wrong replacement.

The machine boots up, but the letters ELECTRIBE keep dancing through the screen without the electribe fully booting up. No sound is to be heard.

I have someone who might be able to fix it but he needs the service manual....

Anybody have any tips?
Thx

Maybe you can find something in owners manual:
http://www.korg.com/uploads/Support/EM1 ... 340000.pdf

Try to find or make power supply with right power, voltage and polarity.

Do not hold me to the word, but if it does not help, maybe something is f***ed up with data, so u can try to restore default factory data set. find in manual how to do it.

No, I'm pretty sure I mean SD, as in, Secure Digital memory card.

You sure about that?

You must have a different ES-1 to the one I have here right in front of me that takes SmartMedia cards.

Jesus Christ! I have to lay off the Xanax before posting on message boards :wacky:

The problem was with my KP3 after all. I'm just going to go and sulk off into the shadows, eating my fair share of humble pie right now.
