Kaos pad sample button press by MIDI?

I am looking at the very slim MIDI implementation chart and i do not see a way to press the sample button VIA MIDI. Is it possible?

i think they are triggered by certain note on/off messages. try hooking it up to a midi keyboard or something. i think C2 turns on the 'A' sample, C#2 is 'B', etc.

that's just my recollection so it could be way off base...

yes you can press the 4 buttons with the keyboard, thats fine, but i want to press the "sample" button which arms it for recording a sample

ahhh.
sorry, about that.
to my recollection the answer is no.
i'm pretty sure you can see all of the available midi stuff in the kp3 editor.
