I'm having partial luck controlling my Pro-X from Sonar 6 (PE).
I go into Sequencer Mode on the board, and if from Sonar I set a General Midi patch for a given midi channel I hear that patch on the board.
If I attempt to set and of the Bank-A ... Bank-F patches from sonar I get the
General Midi equivalent instead (e.g. I select Bank A and Patch 7 in Sonar and get the GM Patch 7 instead).
Any clues?

I remember this one...
check your bank map option in Global mode of the Triton. If it's set to KORG... bank A will be 0, B is 1, C is 2, D is 3, E is 4, F is 5, GM is like 15488 or something to that effect, and the GM drum kits are some other obscene number, but i always found it was easiest to manage in KORG drum map, and I think my Triton came preloaded using the GM bank mapping. I remember the Korg KARMA was the same way too. if its set to GM bank map, i don't remember how it's arranged, but it's all goofy. In fact i think you have to change banks w/ controllers 0 and 32 if you select GM map (could be wrong)
