Programs/Combis and Faster ways to switch

Post by TheWarHam »

I have two questions, one was kind of answered in a previous topic I saw, but Im still a little lost. Generally Ive been searching forever, but I dont know how to term it.

So yeah Ive had the microX for 2 years, and it's amazing, but I dont know TOO much about it.

One - Is there a faster way to switch between programs? When playing with my band live, Im usually playing only one voice, but I have to scroll around forever to get to them. Is the only way really to rewrite them all to different spots? (Im so used to their order!) And as for combis, well...

Two - Is there a way to make programs sound as they did when they are in combis? I saw that you can do the utility thing, but that would really only work for one (maybe 2) sounds. If that is the only way...
What about when Im recording? Ive just been recording (Solo) some stuff, but I like to play combis of voices, so If I plug it into my computer, would there be any way to have more effects?

SORRY for double posting but I realized my questions were a little unclear and if I edited my post, people who already read it wouldn't know...

For the switching through programs fast... well the reordering/writing thing wouldn't work because each song we play - I use different programs (AND I have some in common), so I would still end up scrolling around up and down like a lunatic.

My question was really can I make different shortcuts for different songs, or something easier than just rewriting the programs close to each other...? Is there something better to buy then a foot pedal?

thanks
