Deal braker question before deciding on the X50

Post by kikedeolivos »

Is it true that the Mac Editor / plug in does NOT work on the latest Intel Macs?

(Macbook)

Thank you

Where did you hear that from?

All I can say is that it is running fine on my Macbook. Here are my specs:

- OSX Tiger 10.4.11
- Macbook (white) from June 2007
- Intel core 2 duo 2.16 Ghz
- 2GB RAM

Now I had heard there were issues with USB devices and the latest version of Leopard, but that had nothing to do with the hardware itself.
Korg X50, Kurzweil Mark 10
PRS CE22, Fender Players Strat, Breedlove Atlas AC12/SR
Macbook (white), Logic Express 7, Waves GTR Solo
Apogee Duet

Well, a Core 2 Duo is faster than a G4, isn't it? :)

The editor works fine on my Intel Macbook Pro running OS 10.5.7. The application is a Universal binary.

Hi Bigs,

The editor works for you but what about working as a Plug In? Does it work?

My only concern was that Intel Macs are not mentioned there but, if it works for it should work for me as well., even though you are running it on Tiger and I use Leopard.

Thank you.

I haven't used it as a plug-in in a while, but it worked in the past (OS X Leopard on Intel with Logic 8) so I expect it still works.. all new Macs since 2004 have been Intel macs, so they're not mentioned specifically anymore.
