How to turn off tempo LED.
I am still relatively new to Korg keyboards and their interface, so excuse me if this is obvious and I just somehow missed it.
(Can I) or (How do) you stop the LED flashing below the tempo knob ? If I'm not using a drum pattern, etc, I find it a little distracting. Particularly in a dimmly lit room when I'm practising late at night, it keeps catching the corner of my eye. Small thing I know, but I'm the kind of pedantic person who notices these things.
I can find no reference in the manual as to turning it off.
Now that I think of it, my MicroX did the same thing.

I don't know of any way of turning it off, but a tiny bit of electrical tape will do the trick.

Tape is the only quick way to do it, otherwise you'll get used to it over time. It bugged me when I got the TR years ago but now I don't even notice it and I have several of them flashing at me at oncemocando wrote:I don't know of any way of turning it off, but a tiny bit of electrical tape will do the trick.

Thanks for that. Had a feeling that would be the case.
That's something to add to the wishlist or ideas for improvment. I do believe you should be able to turn it off. Some people are very sensitive to flashing lights, even tiny ones. If not in use, why does it need to continue to flash ? Unneccessary. Sometimes you just want to practise your playing not tweak or make tracks.
I'm glad I'm not the only one who has noticed and been bugged by this.

REALLY?!

Making it active in sequence mode only is a good idea, isn't it?

Well, a post and a poll doesn't hurt, but advertising the poll in every single workstation forum is a bit overkill.McHale wrote:did we really need like 6 threads and polls on this?

To get as many people to participate in the poll as possible, I had to post it in as many places, Imocando wrote:Well, a post and a poll doesn't hurt, but advertising the poll in every single workstation forum is a bit overkill.McHale wrote:did we really need like 6 threads and polls on this?

thought were applicable. It's a poll for workstations, not just a single machine. It's just a simple poll.
No need to over think it.

that's called the "Korg Synths (General)" area. Really, should we cross post across every area for ALL of our polls?
I don't even see the reason for the poll or the threads to be honest. In all the forums, all the threads, I've yet to see anyone have an issue with it. I'm surprised it's even mentioned, let alone mentioned in nearly every area.
Talk about over thinking things...

Well those people who are sensitive to flashing lights will have problems anyway even without the flashing tempo light. If they work with computer in the studio there will surely be some blinking of flashing lights there, and if they play on the stage... well we all know how much lights there are in rock concerts...Aussie-Andy wrote:Thanks for that.
