Zero 4 system Updater

Post by rickvh »

I'm trying to do the system update and I followed the instructions as noted in the PDF file that is included with the download for 1.6.

I selected the options in config for MIDI in and out 2 and it keeps giving me the error Zero4 (in update mode) not found. I did boot the mixer holding down the 1 ch select key and the keep button and it is flashing SYS.U and the firewire light is on showing that its connected.\

I'm using a laptop that is Vista x64, the driver appears to have installed fine and it looks as though using the Zero edit program does allow me to connect to it using the auto setting for midi, but any other port doesnt seem to give a detect of the mixer. However in VDJ 6, i cant get it to recognize.

Anyone have any suggestions?

Apparently its my vista x64 thats foiled it. I plugged it into an old XP x64 desktop machine and I updated it and everything is fully functional. So I guess my problem reverts back to my Vista x64 laptop lacking proper compatibility.. oh well.

yes, korg still have not released 64 bit drivers for vista,
its looking now like the never will.
between firmware updates and drivers for the zeros korg arent very quick off the mark to say the least.
ive heard that the zeros worked well on windows 7 beta,
i hope its true coz i wouldnt rely on korg to release drivers for it anytime soon.
they should really get their act together.but i get the feeling from reading these forums that they dont really care
