dude chill out. Korg was wrong but you don't need to be stirring up a whole community about it.

I'm sorry to hear that you got lied to. I'm sorry they treated you like s**t. But you know what, there's a point (probably within the first 12 hours of the incident) where you need to let go and move on.

They didn't do anything, they won't do it because you bitch them out.

One other thing to realize.... don't talk s**t to people from korg that come here dude. This is not korg's site.... it is an unofficial user forum. Please correct me if I'm wrong but none of the korg people on here have to be, they choose to be.

He came to help you just don't do that. It makes you look bad.

Now, lets all chill out and move on or have this topic locked because it's getting out of hand.

That is harsh.

They were rude to him and gave him the runaround as well as I'm sure you will know, c'mon.

If Elektron/Waldorf/MFB ever start giving me the runaround or vocal hostilities then I too would boycott them as much as I love/depend on their gear. Korg INC train and employ the front of house staff as an extension of their arm under their business umbrella, so if their staff are s**t to customers then they will of course know this and perhaps even bosses will cheer them on from the sidelines to do anything to evade responsibility for a business model that is losing money due to bad parts and labor. From what I have heard amongst friends Korg were sympathetic to begin with about his problem (probably because the new 'tribes where f***ed from the get-go and that s**t sticks) but lately friends of mine too have had no offer of help, here in the UK for recent acquisitions that started to dream out musicalitys on their own.

I actually posted some details on my lack of help Korg offered with regards to the 2 dodgy jittery EMX's my GF and I owned a while back on this largely cool forum. Mysteriously that has been erased by one of Korgs inside guys here. But I still percevere and remain hopeful this place evenchely becomes totally fair.

I love Korg gear from the Electribe MK 2s/Micro/MS2000 to back the way. Anything recent Dance/Groove type I or friends have purchased since then has usually developed faults (and no we dont take them to sweaty clubs or bong up around them) on the contrary they are shown much love.

When my R3 failed last year that was the last straw coz I fell in love with that machine even more than I did with my MS 200 & MS10 patched into my MS20 combined.

Oh sorry. I nearly forgot. I have bought some recent Korg gear. I love my miniKP and Kaossilator. I bought 5 of each a year or so back for my GF & Sis & Bro and best pal for late night sontaneous fun and they have been very resilient so far (and at 100 each it is easier replaced if built badly).

you didn't quote the rest of that response, which takes it totally out of context. he got an insanely cheap repair for something most repair shops would've reamed you on and made it unreasonable cost-wise to fix. he. got. hooked. up.

regardless, no sympathy for this guy. wrong attitude from the begining and the misunderstanding was as much on his part as well as the phone jockey he took it out on. end of story.

I don't get people who go for an entire Korg lineup like that. I mean their VA synthesis has a lot of commonality of sound between Radias, EA, EMX, etc. At some point, wouldn't it make more sense to add a Roland or something else for variety?

this a great thread for a noob like me
a bunch of lunatics you all are

it seems everyone is angry at the threadstarter..and thinks he wants sympathy

but he is merely telling his story for reference to others i reckon
a customer can have any type of attitude he chooses
all that should be expected is his cash..not a sheepish grin and 16 bows to the kings of korg
and now thanks to the post of mr.19 above..we know that korg staff remove things like that on this forum?
hmmmmm

i think i'll find another forum

Check out electribe-forum.com, we have a lot less drama and a lot more knowledge :-P.... well that's a bold statement.... but we have a lot more CONCENTRATED knowledge...

Also people, let it go.... this post is SOOOO old.... it's so old that I already left this site.... opened up two websites and designed them, made one of them popular..... I also made TWO brand new livesets, replaced most of my gear.... moved to a different city and started playing shows.....

:-D STOP IT!

Oh by the way, as far as korg moderating this site.... this is not an official korg website. It is ran by someone else... there are occasional korg staff browsing it and talking but they are not mods.
