Need Help with assignable footswitch

Post by plepue »

I am having trouble getting the assignable footswitch to work. I have two TRs and have tried on both. I have used M-Audio sustain pedals and a generic footswitch. All pedals work fine on the damper but when I use the footswitch jack I get nothing. I have gone to the Global page and assigned the footswitch to just about every different setting and cannot get a response to anything. Is there another setting somewhere I am missing? I simply want to use it for Program Up capabilities. I doubt my TR is broken since neither TR works. Although I suppose this is possible.

Any ideas?

Of course plugged into the footswitch input.

I have tried M-Audio Sustain Pedals
A Roland Sustain pedal that swithes between continous and switch
and a chepo square footswitch of unknown origin.

None react in any way. Ive tried switching the polarity both on the pedals and in the system menu. nothing. All pedals work fine in the damper input.

the footswitch won't do anything in most situations. it has to be assigned in the individual program.

or if you want to use it for program up, sequencer cue-list advance, etc, you have to set that in global mode under footswitch/pedal settings. remember to WRITE the global settings too (just like you would in a program)

I have setup the global and tried both program up and program down as well as Arp SW to see if I could get the Arp switch to light up. I'm going to try a factory reset and try again, it just seems like it should be easy but totally nonresponsive on two differetn TRs.
