Piano Sustain

Post by lyleengle »

I have a Triton LE Workstation.

What I want to do is use a foot pedal that mimics what a piano foot pedal does...as long as you hold down the pedal ALL the notes that are played or will be played will be sustained. When the pedal is released they all stop.

What I have is....the note must be pressed down first, then the pedal in that order. If the pedal is pressed down first the note will not sustain. Furthermore, only one note will sustain, not multiple notes.

I just want the pedal to act like a piano sustain pedal. Is this possible? Certainly this isn't too much to ask, is it?

My pedal is plugged into Assignable Switch. In Global 1:1 I have Foot SW Assign set to Sosenuto. It is not a Korg pedal.

Thanks!

Change your controller # to 64 & all should be fine1
You could get another pedal & insert it into the damper pedal input(it's default control # is 64(sustain).

I tried this pedal in the damper input and it works just like I wanted. I didn't see that anywhere in the documentation but that doesn't mean it's there. heh

Thanks! You made my day!

Damper pedal polarity issue

Post by simon61151 »

I use a Roland DP6 damper pedal with my Korg Trition Le. It's been ok up until a few days ago when it changed polarity of its own accord. I reset it in Global/Pref to Korg default, but a few minutes later it had switched back again. What's going on?
