Do I still need a flash card in PA80 if I install a HD?

Post by denistu007 »

Hi,
I am a new PA80 owner and have a question for guys that have been using this keyboard for a while. I hope someone will be able to help me.

Do I need to purchase the flash card if I decide to put a HD in my PA80?
I’ve tried to find a flash card for PA80 but it seems the original KORG card is the only one that will work for sure. At the same time, I find that the original 8MB is pretty expensive considering that it will give me very little memory. So, the HD drive option would be much cheaper.

The reason I am looking for a card is that I can import some Triton samples and play them on my PA80. So, can I do the same thing if I load the samples directly on a HD and then put it in my PA80? Will I be able to read the samples directly from the HD or I still need to purchase flash card.

I would appreciate you help.
Thank you!

You need flash card! Hard disk drive is not enough fast to playback samples in real time!!!
