Changing from COMBI to PROG banks through a midi sequencer

Post by ukmaestro »

After years of simple basic MIDI usage, I'm trying to get to grips with my Korg Triton LE connected to Logic Express 8. When I select COMBI on the keyboard, and control the bank and program number through logic - I can successfully control the different sounds on different channels within the sequencer. However, when I switch to PROG on my keyboard, I can't seem to control the Korg's PROG sounds through Logic, and can't use different sounds on different channels? Is this impossible? Can COMBI sounds only be used?

Any help would be appreciated!

this should work... the midi messages might be different for prog and combi though... and of course you can always create combis with just single program in them...
