DSD on the MR-1000

Can the Mr-1000 play back DSD files that it did not record by transfering them into the unit, as you would files it did record?

I would suppose it could -- as long as they are .DSD, .DSF, or .WSF format.

The question I want answered is: how will Korg support us after the MR1000 is discontinued and they no longer offer MR1000 support? Currently, we must own the MR1000 and have it attached in order to play back the files we created (yes, the attachment bug still exists in AG 2.0.2). But in many years from now, we may no longer own our MR1000, it may be broken and Korg no longer supports it. When we want to take another stab at remastering our files, how can we play them, downsample them, etc. when AG won't install onto a new computer without the MR1000 attached?

If you ask me, this is a timebomb waiting to go off -- and I'm wondering how Korg plans to handle it.

Thank you for your reply. I would think that there will be more software out soon that will be able to work with the DSD files similar to Audiogate and that Diskwelder Bronze for Tascam.

The only software package I've found that will read the DSD files costs $4400. That's not a viable solution.
