I understand that. I would much rather ONLY use STS (4 instruments is more than enough). But if I choose a different style from my window, then the STSs will change also which is what we're talking about half way through the thread. I'm not sure if we're on the same page.BasariStudios wrote:STS has nothing to do with PERFORMANCE, you dont switch Performance but STS.rbalaa wrote:Thank you for your help. That's a way around it. The only issue issue here is that if you wanted to switch to a new style and at the same time switch to a new performance, you will be off on your cue, because your performance selection wil cancel the style change if you press it before the end of the bar.
Applying STSs to multiple styles ?

And what if you shut the STS button off? NO! The STSs then wont change.

Hi BasariStudios,
I'll give you an example:
You have rythm A with
STS1=Strings
STS2=Piano
STS3=Brass
STS4=Guitar
You have rythm B with
STS1=Vibes
STS2=Accordion
STS3=Trumpet
STS4=Choir
Style A is selected, press on STS1, you have Strings assigned to the upper tracks.
Let's turn off "Single touch".
Select style B, you still got Strings selected (Excellent!), press on STS2 what would you get "Piano" or "Accordion"?
You'll get "Accordion".
Press on STS3 you'll get "Trumpet", STS4 "Choir", STS1 "Vibes".
People are asking for a lock, so that even after selecting style B, if you press one of the 4 STS buttons you get always the 4 STS of style A.

Wouldn't it make this pa better if I can jump from instrument to style without changing what's being displayed on my screen ?? I know your answer would be to set the same STSs to each style, fine but what about the 100s of new styles I'll be working with in the future ? Do I have to keep doing this over and over ? This is an arranger ...BasariStudios wrote:Now i understand...but they wont implement that, deffending them selfes

I know there's a good bunch of us on the forum who think this "lock" option of STSs would be greatly beneficial. I just wish someone with greater authority would agree so Korg would understand our point.

Actually I brought this up last year. I thought it was weird that you couldn't just choose 4 sts on the fly, and leave them alone for the rest of the performance. I have a lot of styles, and for the most part, I only need the same 4 STS. This is a very easy fix for future update if they consider it.
