Hi everyone. I have a mod'd KP2 guitar setup and just recently acquired a rolls 128 Midi buddy footswitch so I could change effects on my kaoss pad with more ease while performing. I am trying to figure out if it is possible to setup a command that gives me a tap tempo on my footswitch so I can adjust my delays and such in real time. I have never programmed midi commands so any suggestions on good sites to read up on would be appreciated. I have tried looking on different forums and reading up on midi but I am still quite confused on if this is even possible or not. Sorry in advance if I am over looking this topic elsewhere.
Thanks!

The KP3 BPM can only be controlled via midi timing clock messages, which the rolls midi buddy doesn't send. You would need to use an external sequencer that supports tap tempo and sends midi clock in order to do that. You probably need to just continue to use the tap tempo on the KP3 with your fingers, unless you figure out a way to do it with a toe. Maybe try Yoga Classes? (smile)
that would be ideal for you http://www.ploytec.com/34one/
but your "buddy" has no midi in. make dumb switch pedal and hardwire it to tap tempo on kp3 (every guy with soldering iron can help you with that).
or you can use some device that sum up two midi into one.
