How to connect my emx and kaossilator ?

Post by noisebat »

Someone in this forum says that " emx would let you sample and sequence Kaossilator sounds ".
I want to know about how it works and what kind of connector i need.
Thanks. I hope someone can help me.

No, the EMX cannot sample at all, and since the Kaossilator doesn't have midi, it can't be sequenced by the EMX. The ESX can sample the audio output of the Kaossilator, however, and all you need is RCA to 1/4" Stereo Y Cable, with the RCA ends labeled Tip and Ring.

One thing you can do is set both clocks to the same BPM (they won't be lock synced, but it should work for a while), and put the Koassilator output (left or right channel only) into the EMX audio-in, and then gate the Koassilator using the audio-in part. Then you can also use EMX effects on the audio in. You'll need a phono rca to 1/4" mono cable to hook them up.

"they won't be lock synced"
It's a hard way to produce music. But it's a really good idea. Thanks !
