Pa800 Vocal Harmonizer Vs Yamaha Psr S900

Post by moebrand »

Hi guys,
I am wondering if the Korg Pa800 vocal Harmonizer is as good as Yamaha Psr series .
Psr series have many selections for harmonizing your vocals, but I don't know about Pa800, if it is the same are they good for recording, I mean CD quality recording.
Thanks!

o.k.may be that I have not enough acknowledgment.
I´m using more than 15 years digitech, then psr9000 and Tyros 2 VHPs.
And now the one in my PA2.
And all were sounding well, but only the one in my PA2 .....
Best regards from germany

Hi Moebrand
I have a PSR S900 (can't seem to sell it :wink: ) and the PA2Xpro

The Korg vocal harmonizer is far far superior - I have experimented with MIDI (with harmony track etc..) on both keyboards and the difference is huge.
Korg=professional quality.

Hope this helps

I have owned a Tyros 2 had a Tyros3 for 2 weeks owned a SD1 G70 and now a PA2xpro. Singing is my #1 thing. The Korg is by "Very' far the best of the bunch. The worst by far is the Yamha!!

I really think the korg vp. is great I have put a lot of time into the settings of it, and don't understand all of the db lead to harmony and all that stuff, goes on and on, now I just work with it,sounds great, I have not set it for any midis ,I will soon be wanting to do so, I am now doing some gigs. I am finding it hard to do a three hour show all by myself, so I plan to take a break with a few midis, I am hoping to get some help on this forum regarding them. I think every thing is great about the pa800, It does wonders for me, I am not the greatest key boarder, so I depend on the styles, chords and the harmonizer, Paula

Just extending my earlier comment:-
I wrote:The Korg vocal harmonizer is far far superior - I have experimented with MIDI (with harmony track etc..) on both keyboards and the difference is huge.
Korg=professional quality.
In one of these experiments I was recording my daughter's vocals with a MIDI file (exactly the same file on both keyboards) and the only one that was completely acceptable for recording was the PA2Xpro....

Cheers
