i repeat once again....
fill version (fill1a or 1b etc.) will play after you played for example 8 steps on variation 1, next you want to play fill, and press fill 1, and Pa think: you play on Var1, and you press fill 1 , so I play Fill 1 a. But I think, That, in the system, you will can change which version of fill must will add to any Variation.
Do you undertsand??
I think, that Korg can add new fills!!!!! I BELIEVE, that it will in near future in PA2X PRO!!

YES I UNDERSTAND...

What makes you think Korg will invest in such a change? It has not been requested anywhere else. Why would they consider it?
I can think of a lot of new features I would like - way more that additional FILLs.

There is no reason to assume that. You do not know the internal architecture of the PA2XPro, the memory and CPU constraints or the OS program design. If Korg added 3 endingi in Pa1X Pro, no problem to add more fills in Pa2!!!
You could say that as the PA2XPro will load styles from all i-seies and PA keyboards, then there is no problem for Korg to enable the loading of Yamaha and Ketron styles (analogy).
The PA2Xpro is a DIFFERENT keyboard.
Also, the amount of work involved in adding Ending 3 to the PA1X involving changing EVERY style on the keyboard and redesigning the style structure of the instrument would have been huge.
I don't believe you will ever get this change

I think priority should be given to fixing hardware and software faults and not making the OS more unstable by developing new functionality. I don't want new functions, I just want the ones sold with the keyboard to work properly and reliably!metronomuskarol@gmail.com wrote:Could you please answer, how do you know, that Korg does not do it??
I believe, that Korg is is serious about customer, and Korg compnay add more fills:)
Forum members and their dealers have submitted bug reports based on Pa2x crashes when importing SET files, these are now almost 18 months old and still no bux fix release. We have requested a fix for the problem when merging SET files over 2 years ago. Still nothing. No comment from Korg at all. So there is a fat chance of new functions being added by Korg in my opinion, given the abysmal track record on (not) resolving some very serious software defect problems and usability shortfalls.
Regards,
Rob
And a paltry three fills IS a "usability shortfall" from a gigging musician's point of view. Even novice drummers can come up with more than that. If these Pa boards are to be taken seriously as professional arrangers, then they're going to have to come up with a good many more drum figures than are currently on board. It would be funny if it weren't such a glaring deficiency. Let's see what the Pa4 brings, hope springs eternal and all that.

Firstly, about this forum.....
If you want a definitive answer, then you need to talk to Korg.
As Rob says, there are many things that need to be addressed ahead of adding 3 more FILLs, which, so far has only been requested by one person (you).
Talk to Korg....

An independent forum for Korg product users and musicians around the world.

We don't know, we don't work for Korg, we have no association with Korg. I was just applying some simple business logic and common sense - that's all.Could you please answer, how do you know, that Korg does not do it??

Maybe when there is a specific proposal with specification, timescale and name(s) of the developers? At the moment I can't believe the prospect of this happening is more substantial than an early morning mist that disappears when the sun comes out.metronomuskarol@gmail.com wrote:please inform users of Pa2 about it!!!!

Great - let's have all their details, qualifications etc and we can get them started.Today I found company, who can do new OS with new options (In/Out Midi and Audio mode, and MORE FILLS!!!)
If they are going to rewrite the OS, then I think they should consider a lot more than extra FILLs though!!! Because I can't imagine that there are many owners who care enough about just FILLs. This company needs to look at and consider addressing the wish lists that can be viewed on this forum - then they will get a lot of interest and, possibly, a lot of money. They need to get moving quickly as the next generation of Korg arrangers will beat them.
I look forward to seeing the company details...
new 3-rd party OS for PA would be interesting idea but for such integrated device probably raises many rather legal issues - reverse engineering, patents, warranty, marketing and just go on.
There are several well known firmware hack cases, some supported by open communities and perhaps even by original manufacturer. Does this come true for Korg? We'll see.
