How do I transfer midi files to LE

Post by Cskidgel »

Is there a way to transfer midi files from computer USB into the LE sequencer. I have midi files that I want in the LE so I can play them live. Once in the LE I can edit and save on SD card

It's easier to transfer using the SM card.

You need to record to audio and save to .wav or .mp3

Transfer via a card; the USB cable doesn't do that. The best you could do is play back the MIDI on a computer sequencer and record it into the LE's sequencer, which is really awkward.

Playing back via MP3 like bsr2002 suggests is probably a better option if you want to try to both play back prerecorded material on the LE and play new material live. The LE can do this in sequencer mode, but if your backing tracks are complicated enough, you may find you're hitting the limit on polyphony.
