Any Help Creating this Sound

Post by JamesJeffery »

I am trying to create the main sound that is running through this track. It sounds very dirty/demonic. But I am unsure about how to create these types of sound. Once I have a base to run from I can evolve from there and develop my own sounds similar to this.

Correct me if I am wrong but it sounds as if the producer is controlling the cutoff (possibly with a mod wheel) using a low pass filter?

Hi,

sorry but IMHO this is the wrong forum. For that sounds you rather should get a sampler. If you have one then you can sample the sound directly from that video. The majority of that sounds are percussion and EFX, which are done changing the pitch, filtering (yes, controlling cutoff) and adding reverbs and echos, things that good samplers can do.

I see what you mean, but I doubt he used a sampler to create his bassline in the first place. He would have used a synth. I'm just looking to recreate that sound on the Radias (without the effects and filters).

Well, the bassline was hard to distinguish from all that sound collage. It could be a saw or sharp pulse, then a delay or reverb and then a BPF with medium to hi resonance.

You can try it but the filter seems to be at the end of the FX chain. Maybe you can use the Stereo Filter from the MFX once you got the bass sound

Hope this helps and it would be nice to hear the results!
