Mod wheel behavior when switching programs

Post by Megaboz »

Hi all - first off, the Korg R3 was my first synth, I've had it for a couple months now and I'm just completely addicted to that thing, I'm using it all the time. Awesome stuff.

My question is (and I apologize if I missed it in the manual, I've read it over and over again) if anyone knows if this is standard behavior - if I turn my mod wheel while playing, everything works as expected. However - If I leave it turned above 0, and then switch the program, the next program plays as if the mod wheel is set at 0. If I then turn the mod wheel at all, it instantly readjusts the modulation to where it should be.

I can see pros and cons for it working this way, so I wanted to see if this was normal or an issue with my unit. If its normal, is there anyway to change the behavior so the new program immediately uses the mod wheel value after a program change without having touch it? Thanks in advance!

This is normal. There is no way to change it.
