There is a band called I See Stars, post-hardcore/screamo/electronica..
I was wanting to know if anyone had the sound from the beginning of their song, 'What This Means To Me.'

Yea patch B-6. Course, IDK if OP is radias or R3.

still, no ones hardcore unless they program their synth themself
Current: MS-20 Mini, Minilogue, SY77
Past: Korg R3, Volca Bass, X50, Mg Slim Phatty, Rld Gaia SH-01, Yamaha TX81Z

I think they should all be called FlaccidMonkeyCore if they can only use presets and pound on the keys, pretending that they know how to use the synth.

i personally have nothing against _____core's, but a lot of people do.

what we usually complain about on this forum is people not making their own patches lol

anyways. r3 or radias

There was no animosity towards hardcore synth players implied or intended by me in general. When I said "if they can only use presets and pound on the keys", then the rest doesn't apply to you or any other hardcore players who program their own patches. That's what "if" means. :) If anything, I meant exactly the opposite of what you may think: a keyboardist who programs his synth is more hardcore than those who don't. Sound better that way? I hope so.

I do think the following video is funny, though:

i too am in a hardcore band, we did about 4 songs and just got a new drummer and heading toward more metally hardcore, our other stuff is hardcore/alternative.. but my computer has been broken and i have been unable to get the sound editor to work but just recently finally got it all fixed and am pumpin out sounds custom to me and that suit the different parts i play. up until now i was forced to use presets but i would edit the sh*t out of them to make them custom.. but this is perfect timing because were about to go into the studio, ill post our demo tracks when all done and see what you think!
