I'm still here too. I realize that many of us dedicated OASYS owners may be wondering where all our colleagues have disappeared to and why it's quiet. YET, this is definitely not the case in my studio where my OASYS is centre stage. I just feel fortunate to have acquired mine when I did. Nothing can replace it - nothing. Of course, that doesn't mean my trusty O can't have friends - loaded M3-73 with RADIAS-R, V-Synth XT, V-Synth GT, Fusion HD 6 (believe it or not), JD990, a slew of VSTi. But, having the OASYS allowed me to downsize superfluous gear.

We are in a special owners club. Not too many musicians can say that. So, if it is quiet in the forums, you can still make fantastic music with your OASYS, then share it with the rest of us, just as a few of our friends here have.

PS: Scott Raposa's REINCARNATED for M3 will soon get ported over to the O. And, don't forget, I have 2 more collections of Catalyst combis waiting for the master's touch. The OASYS is alive and still kicking.

I'm with Charlie! It's real good to see some activity here! Like most of you I am a member of other forums but this is by far the coolest one! Great support! Unparalleled knowledge and data base! And unfortunately, a huge gap that can't be filled by Daz's absence- but his legacy here is simply unmatched and always of noteworthy mention. And I imagine that, possibly unbeknownst to him, I (and others) will benefit for a long time from the tremendous insight, work and input he has left behind.

Nonetheless, it is really encouraging to see you guys and gals kickin' up a little dust in here. And it's a real treat to be able to HEAR what you guys are doing. And in Mike's case- SEE what you guys are doing! LOL, always great stuff from you Mr. Conway!!

And a note to the Ultimate DJ: Dude, I owe you some pics! Man, I'm sorry I have been so busy! I will email you the studio today! )

To Charlie, ok a bit OT: the wavedrum is great!!! A dream to come true. Many, many years ago I used to drum a lot but for different reasons I stopped. The noisy house was a main one. I never wanted to play electronic drums but started playing keys. And never regret it, but always missed drumming; it is so physical

The wave drum is feeling so organic, it is a real instrument, with an enormous dynamic range. But it will take some time to master it. Many different techniques for the different instruments, as you saw on youtube

I am using it with my O through the inputs but still figuring out the perfect settings. They both work very well together. Over the monitors I have to put the volume all open, that issue has been posted before.

You can edit the sounds and create new ones. I red that it is complicated in edit mode, but I am sure that your Oasys knowledge will help a lot, ok you miss the big screen

He even double checked with someone else and it does appear that I had information that was not correct. And I do apologize for that. There is another guy here in Canon City (and he has some 19 CDs on CD Baby) and he also had the info that I had. Again, sorry for the confusion.

Hey, I'm gonna post the final version of "The Quest." I killed the lead guitar and used a lead synth insted. I think it retains its '80s Synth Rock' feeling. Tell me what you think. (lol, I love that guy!)

I'll be sending some pics shortly--well, tonight. Take care buddy!

The vocals sound very nice - how many tracks did you record or did you use any doubling effect? The keyboards sounds are all OASYS sounds, or did you use a sample library and the Oberheim for the pad?

And here I thought I was being circumspect in that text! I don't mention the Voxbox directly (I think...), but you must have put two and two together with the "some of the gear that is no longer here" section.

These vocals used the ISA 430mkII, which I like just a bit better than the Green 5 for various reasons (most importantly for this purpose, variable input impedance and more precise gain control).

The vocals sound very nice - how many tracks did you record or did you use any doubling effect?

The piano and pad are the OASYS. The bass is an old favorite from Spectrasonics Bass Legends.
