zero8 problem

Post by beenetto »

well i have no idea what is wrong with the mixer. It was working fine till now.
3-5-7 channels are mixed up.
probably some software issue inside the mixer.
I've tried to reinstall OS 1.6 but didn't help...
also tried to reset it with (cue7-cue8) but nothing.

the tuch-pad also doesn't respond...

i made a video so you can see:

That looks more like a hardware issue...something must have fried on the board..

It seems like the circut boards warp over time. I believe the power supply runs very hot, causing the problems. I don't want to start a lawsuit or anything. But, I feel like if we all band together we may be able to get some support from korg. Pm me if your interested.

I've had this problem in the past. I rebooted everything and it was back to normal.

There must be some central problem causing all the issues and problems, and therefore there probably is also some hardware or software hack that would get rid of all these problems.

Maybe if we find out, we can assemble some kind of madmax Zero8 pimp&repair pack and instructions to help everybody out... :P

Looks like an intercontact problem on the buss. You may try to disassemble the Zero8 and check all the flatcables and their connections, also on short-circuit between wires there. That most probably will fix your issue. I could address a similar problem (with channel 1 and 3) that way rather easily...

Hey beenetto,

Did you get it fixed in any way?
Some feedback on the replies on your question from you would be nice.
