Catch 22 with registering on new system - SOLVED!!

Post by Reject »

Fair Greetings, people!

This is my first post here, but you'll have to excuse me for cutting to the chase:

I'm in a sort of catch 22 with regards to authorizing my Korg Legacy Collection bundle since I reinstalled OS.
I have the "authorization code" that is printed on the CD-sleeve, but apparently that doesnt do me any good since I've forgot my login details for www.korguser.net.

I tried to register a new account, but then it says "authorization code already registered, please use re-issue on the log-in page". Fair enough, I thought, but I cant register a new account without registering a Korg product with the authorization code....which is already registered...you get the point.

Unfortunately, I cant remember the account details with which I registered the product in the first place, so I simply cannot retreive a "license code" which is needed to register KLC on my freshly reinstalled computer.

Any suggestions, or am I really screwed?

I finally managed to find out what e-mail account I had registered at Korg with in the first place! Turned out to be one from an old ISP!

Thanks still to those who read my post! Does anyone happen to know if you have an unlimited number of "re-issues"? I considering a totally new audio computer which will, of course, require yet another new reinstall.

You can always get support from your Country Korg Distributor (e.g. Korg USA in the U.S.).

I am in the similar situation as the OP.

I noticed on the Korg User Net site it says they won't reply to telephone or fax enquires so I am a little worried what response I am going to get...

You should contact your Local Korg Country Distributor. If necessary, they can have changes made to the Korg User.net database.

The way you get support for Korg software is IDENTICAL to support for Korg Hardware -- your Local Korg Country Distributor:

Where are you located?

I am in the UK.

On the user net website, under the 'help' link by the log in it says this:
Question I've forgotten my password; can you send my password to an e-mail address different than the one I used when registering?
Answer To prevent theft of personal information, we cannot send confirmation e-mails to an e-mail address other than the one with which you registered. Please also be aware that we cannot reply to telephone or fax inquiries either.
Which is what put me off. Anyway, thanks for the advice, I will ring them later. (because I don't have my registration code with me)
