Is it possible to load "80 minutes djset wav" file
Hi all,
I am a new to this forum and learned too much about Electribe's.
I want to buy Electribe EMX1SD and ESX1SD but i need to know a little info.
I want to use this machines on my live performances. i am a producer and using Cubase to make music.
Can i load my wav track ( its about 80 minutes long a dj mix set ) into the electribe one part with sd card like transfering between computer to electribe.
if so , how ?
Can i play with the other parts on electribe's drums, synths vs while i am playing this wav set coming inside from Electribe on live gig ?
Thanks

Thank you for quick reply ,
Just 4 minutes for each sample ? why i need a 32 gb card ?
I dont want to carry my notebook for all my gigs on stage. I just want to arrange my live set before on my computer and after i export it to wav and load it to sd card and load it to Electribes one part. And i must do some live synth ,drum movements with my Electribe on it !
Is there a drum machine, groovebox or anything to do this on world
I dont know maybe Electron can do any ideas ?

you can put many small samples on the SD card, you just can't load them into memory at the same time (and you can't load anything more than a few minutes, period.)audiokoop wrote:why i need a 32 gb card ?
(If you ask me, you don't need a 32GB SD card, you will never fill it and you can't even browse that many samples using the Electribe's menus - don't even think about using gigabytes worth of samples with an ESX, it ain't gonna happen)
Even an Akai MPC with 128MB of memory will only handle samples up to about 24 minutes - an 80 minute WAV would need hundreds of megabytes of memory!
Maybe a Roland SP-404-SX would work for you, I think it can play samples straight from the SD card without loading them into memory

...which isn't available yet, BTW, though Elektron says it will be by the end of the year.gil videla wrote:elektron OCTATRACK maybe

The maximum sampling time on a SP404SX for a single sample is approximately 180 minutes in stereo (2GB)Maybe a Roland SP-404-SX would work for you, I think it can play samples straight from the SD card without loading them into memo
A 32GB card will hold approximately 48 hours of samples.
I use mine for sound effects and audio overlays but the largest files i play are only 30 secs long

Why not play your wav file through a mp3 player and play over the top with whatever gear you want . I sometimes do this when i'm making a new tune i just play the drums / bass line and play around with the lead/pad sounds etc over the top.

Pipe dreams will not help. The Roland SP-404SX is the most realistic choice right now.costi_ebay wrote:http://www.korgforums.com/forum/phpBB2/ ... hp?t=55977
