How Can I Save Songs From Triton Le to Home Computer???

New with Triton and my learning curve will be challenging so any advice will be greatly appreciated but for now.....,

Reading the manual. I see that a "SmartMedia" card is required to save created material to or an external device. I was also told that creations from the TRITON can also be downloaded or transferred to my home computer or my external storage. That would be ideal if it is possible..., save some money!

If downloading to the computer is possible, does anyone know the process and if so, when ever time permits, would you PLEASE give me a step by step direction how to. Really need help and then some!!

You can't save to your computer your TR's data like to the SD card (in file format like pcg, sqe, etc.).
But you can receive/send in sysex format the all (programs/combis/sequencies) between your computer & TR.

I have been succesful in transfering my songs created on the TR 88 to my computer.

Connect AUDIO cables from the L and R outputs of the TR to the LINE IN on the computer.

Open the free program AUDACITY and record into the program.

The original sounds of the TR record intact as a WAV file instead of a MIDI file.

I understand the Triton and TR are similar so hopefully this works for your equipment.

Uh Zack--Your digitlyrecording audio of YourTR88 to your computer & that's all your doing.Recording the audio like you record to a tape player. Your not saving any program info at all. (LikeA bank-B bank - -etc.)

But the original post was "How can I save SONGS ...".

Nothing was said about programs and banks.

I was answering the question that was asked.

The Triton Le is capable of storing songs as standard MIDI file or in the original .sng format. But as you stated correctly you would need an SM card to do so.

The other and a most common way is to play the songs on your TLe and record them with your PCs software sequencer. Programme changes and all the data that can be transferred via standard MIDI or controller commands will be recorded.

I prefer the SM card as the easier and quicker way of the both.

Also you could do a sysex dump of your Triton which can be done with most software sequencers.
