Good Speaker for Kaossilator Pro and KP3 setup

Post by OhioBuckeye »

I'm planning on purchasing a Kaossilator Pro and KP3. What's a good speaker/monitor setup to go with these? Basically just for home playing now.

If you could recommend some options that would be great.

Thanks

Depending on what you want\can spend there are a lot of options for home use.

But you probably want a pair of nearfield active monitors, in the range of 5-8 inches. There are plenty of good ones out there from Mackie, KRK, Alesis, M-Audio, Yamaha even. These are great because they give you accurate sound if you ever decide to do recording\mixing\mastering.

Just an opinion, I'm sure you'll get plenty more

I normally use my Bose SoundDock or VAF Audio Octavio1i if I need to get louder. Both are iPod docking "hi-fi" systems.

If I want to get stupid loud, I have an old 70's hi-fi setup with some Acoustic Research AR-90s, but that shakes the house too much!

Anything will work, but you want some good bass since the Kaossilator can put out some decent bass lines!
