Good eye Ozy because this was indeed the Korg Kronos that I posted, you where one of the only one's to pick up on it.ozy wrote:definition is horrible (could you pls post a better one, Pepper? thx),Pepperpotty wrote:There you go Bachus.

but It would be indeed nice if Korg went back to its signature black, slender design.
M1, wavestation and 01/w were among the most beautiful keyboards ever designed.
No frills, no SUV-like rosters, no "wannabe-silver, two-different-grey-tones-for-metal-and-plastic-making-plastic-look-even-cheaper, I'll-be-greyish-and-dirty-in-a-month".
Whoever photoshopped that is an old Korg customer.
Proof of that?Hedegaard wrote:Rocness wrote:Wow this is the exact synth I showed you guy early an I was attacked. WOW
Can you link to that?[/quote]
Here you go

(Hedegaard) "Its not even worth it.
The picture looks like an ass-raped-while-sleeping M1, with a dash of photoshop words "Kronos" that has aliasing around the letters.
Its not exciting, is a dull grey black colour.
Ozy's pictures are much more appeasing."

While I will probably pick one of these up, I sure am dissapointed with the 73 key version, which is what I originally was planning to purchase. First, E to E is crazy. Does anyone else make a 73 key version with E to E? You couldn't at least add the extra keys to make it 76 with E to G like the rest of the world? Or at least keep it C to C like the M3. The 61 key version is to small a version for any piano pieces if you're one of those that play arpeggios up and down the board. And lastly, the 73 key version weighs 44 Lbs.
Hell, the 88 weighs 50 Lbs. For another 6 Lbs. you could get the 88. Add a flieght case and neither of these is going to be easy to carry for the weekend warrior. BUT, I certainly congratulate Korg for a board that FINALLY has seamless program/combi switching
Anyway you look at it, this is a killer board and I'm sure I well eventually pick one up.

the interface looks exactly the same like Oasys, i could bet they only changed the existing Oasys OS and added the new synth engines, otherwise the design of the OS would be different. Maybe the Kronos sequencer is still the same like the old Oasys sequencer too.Pepperpotty wrote:Korg have now put a new Kronos video on you tube.

Hm. You can do this, very nicely, with M3 and OASYS. Especially by using KARMA. So, this is nothing new, it's old news.drama1 wrote: BUT, I certainly congratulate Korg for a board that FINALLY has seamless program/combi switching![]()

I think this is no turning back for this, is already an working unit, is not just a draw of a possible unit...RC-IA wrote:if it comes out !! it's not the first time they speak about releasing a drumbox, by the way 2000 bucks.......costi_ebay wrote:this IS innovation:

indeed 2k is a lot of money but I am sure in a few months the street price will be around 1.5k and from my point of view deserve it comparing to insipid recycled instruments that are around here these days...
Agreed.Naviára wrote:

Watching the vid, thats pretty much what it seems...Maybe the Kronos sequencer is still the same like the old Oasys sequencer too.

I'd get the 61, and a lightweight 88 board (Yamaha P95, Korg SP170) to trigger its pianos. Total weight and total cost probably about the same as a Kronos 88, but easier to carry around, and you'd have good piano action as well as good organ/synth action.drama1 wrote:The 61 key version is to small a version for any piano pieces if you're one of those that play arpeggios up and down the board.
