Not sure if this has already been discussed but picked up this book today on the ipad. $2.99 so I thought I would give it a shot.

I thought you may be interested because it covers making sounds using some of the popular synth apps available. ims20 and ielectribe included. I just started it so can't speak to the quality yet. When I finish I'll provide a review

Just paid $5.99 for it. Still not much, but I wonder if the mentioned $2.99 was a typo or a special offer.

I got this book - pretty good introduction to synthesizers though it uses a few odd examples. The Korg of course stands out 
The overview is good and helps give a general idea of subtractive synthesis and other topics.
Worth the $2.99 for sure.
