I'm surrounded by keyboards. I asked myself "what are you doing... you have a PA500. Do you really need all the keys. ... going to be working a lot harder lugging the 88....etc.." bill me later paid for it. I'm playing it. I'm glad I did it. I got a demo from the best vendor I dealt with on EBAY. GuitarFactory. This keyboard might as well be brand new. They shipped it in a refrigerator (ok small one) sized box and it had a big hole in it, but when I opened it .. there was the KORG box from Japan like you would usually get from anyone else.
I was surprised that the split light was dark on all the styles. I thought "someone must have messed up all the styles..now I have to go through them and fix them.... Oh .. yeah.. its 88 keys!!!
You know.. my Arranger is the one that travels. I take it out once or twice a week and I am going to like this. For as long as I have practised lugging a PA80 and a Pa500 and practised pushing buttons and playing those tab keys... I would still get lost on which octave I want to be on ... so I can play some high notes or take a stab at a bass octave Piano.
Just my initial thanks to the KORG people. This keyboard doesn't seem to be a great seller. Its a nice piece of work. There are people behind this targeting a market... and they made a direct hit on me with this one. I really like it.
