Score Music Software

Post by acdroid »

Hi !

Does anyone know a software (win based) to record our M50 when playing a song from Sequencer and produce a notation score?

I´m trying to record directly to my PC and and i would like to see all channels separeted in the score (notation).

Thank you in advance!

Your best bet is not to try to translate Korg .sng files, but to "save as" your songs as .mid files, then import midi files to a scoring program.

Finale is available in a lite version that should be able to do the job - it has a file import that will change midi to score. msrp: $50 you can probably find it for less

Linux MuseScore is a linux open source (freeware) that may do it as well - it is more like the higher versions of Finale.

You'll find however that because human playing isn't 100% on the beat, your MIDI file will look incredibly strange with ties and triplets all over the place.

You may just have to notate it by hand.
