hold down pad patches with fingers taken off the keys

hi every1... i have a question...i wd be glad if any1 helps me find a solution to this thing:how to hold down pad patches with fingers taken off the keys....something similar to the working principles of accompaniment where notes get stuck until next chord is fingered.

pls note i also intend the programming to be such that the notes of preceeding chords that were sounding w/ fingers taken off the keyz gets muted once the new set of notes are played.tnx for all kinds of suggestions

I use a sustain pedal to do that.

You could also try turning the release time up on the amp EG.

tnx nismology but i have something to clarify

turning up the release time will coz the notes of previous chord to b overlapped by the notes of the following chords.

i am giving u a youtube link where boyce avenue performs coldplay viva la vida with a keyboardist on korg .the strings /pads stay sustained even when the hands are taken off from the keys.

to be very precise pls pay attension from0:22 to 0:26 sec of the video

i dont think it is release time that is doing the trick in such a short interval...listen how the notes of preceeding chords gets muted once the succeeding chord comes up....

As nismology has suggested, you can use a sustain pedal. And if you'd like to pay attention to the video you posted, between 0:14 - 0:18 you can see the sustain pedal under the keyboardist's right foot.

i have been trying to figure out for quite sometime and thought it could be some kind of complex programming .....i am really considering to get a pedal for this....

some awesome pads r played at the end of this video.they stay sustained.....now i know that the foot pedal is doing this trick

also pls see this video to get a idea of how awesome this LP350 is in terms design,tones...and most importantly the soft lid closure...korg rules
